Driving from Texarkana TX to Huntsville AL, this is what the corn looks like. Cornbread and tortillas won’t be cheap this next year.

    Ayup, here in Kansas, too. I went on a sanity-saving drive this past weekend, taking the same route I usually do. My last such drive was back in the spring, when everything was gorgeously green. This time? Brown, brown, brown. Incredibly sad.

    The kudzu growing up the stalks of the dead corn to the west and north of Huntsville kinda freaked me out, too. It looked healthy enough. Pity we can’t turn that stuff into food.
